With both New York and London Fashion Weeks well-wrapped (and on the eve of Paris FW), this Music Monday is paying homage to Burberry Prorsum‘s gorgeous F/W 2012 collection, along with Joan Armatrading’s “It Could Have Been Better,” which opened the show.  It’s most definitely a departure from my usual playlist but is a beautiful, powerful ballad that rocked me a bit and deserves some attention.

The collection itself is heavy on menswear fabrics (think herringbone, tweeds, etc…) in muted, earthy tones recalling the house’s home country.  However, Christopher Bailey juxtaposed this perfectly with the ultra femme details of tucked in waists, bows and ruffles (a few of the standouts I’ve included below).  Definitely the collection of the week and will be extremely tempting to not pick up a piece or two come Fall.

Enjoy and hope you’re having a great, creative start to your week!

-Stacy
